One of the most fascinating aspects of live poker is the ability to gather information from physical tells. Online poker removes physical tells entirely, but introduces a different set of timing and betting pattern reads.

Classic Live Tells

Trembling hands: Contrary to movie portrayals, trembling hands typically indicate strength, not weakness. When a player has a strong hand, an adrenaline response often causes involuntary shaking.

Chip glancing: Players who look at their chips immediately after seeing the flop often intend to bet.

Sudden stillness: A player who normally fidgets and suddenly becomes very still is often protecting a strong hand.

Online Timing Tells
